PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Police say shots were fired overnight in three Providence neighborhoods, but no one has been reported hurt.

Gunfire out aside a Union Avenue home just before midnight Saturday sent a shot through a bedroom window into a tiled bathroom wall. The resident told police he heard the shots.

Officers found seven .45-caliber shell casings and a .45-caliber projectile outside.

An hour later, an empty car parked on Regent Avenue was hit. Police found a bullet fragment in the trunk.

At about the same time, police said, a Dodge Charger with several people inside was seen speeding after another car in the Mount Pleasant area.

A man in the Dodge was seen firing out the window at the other car.  Police found two 9 mm shell casings where the cars passed by.
