North Kingstown man arrested for allegedly stealing metal parts

North Kingstown Police arrest a man who is allegedly responsible for stealing metal parts worth a great amount of money after conducting an Investigation with AMTRAK Police on Thursday.
Louis M. Pelcher, 40, of North Kingstown was arrested on June 11th and charged with six counts of Larceny Over $1,500 after discovering information he was allegedly engaged in multiple thefts of catalytic converters from local businesses.
After executing a search warrant at Pelchor’s residence, Officials discovered several stolen metals from AMTRAK.
AMTRAK estimates the stolen metal’s value at $35,000 and the local businesses estimates the stolen value at $15,000.
Officials are working to see if Pelcher is responsible for other thefts. He is scheduled to be arraigned June 12 at the Third District Court.
