South Kingstown man arrested after allegedly soliciting a minor

Rhode Island State Police arrest a South Kingstown man Friday after learning he allegedly solicited a 13 year old through social media.

Officials arrested William Schock, 20, of South Kingstown on June 12 for Indecent Solicitation of a Minor and Electronic Dissemination of Indecent Material to a Minor.

Coventry Police discovered throughout June after conducting an investigation he allegedly solicited a 13 year old through social media.

Police executed a search warrant at his residence on Kenyon Avenue and Schock was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant.

He was arraigned at the Fourth Division Court and released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and special bail conditions including no contact with children or the victim.

Schock is scheduled for a pre-arraignment conference on July 23rd.
