CVS Health Charity Classic Adds Four More Players for Late June Tournament

WOONSOCKET, Rhode Island (May 26, 2015) – The CVS Health Charity Classic has added four more PGA TOUR professionals to its roster: Jimmy Walker, Bill Haas, Hunter Mahan and Jon Curran. These elite players will be part of a field of 20 professional golfers who will compete in the June 28-30 charity golf tournament at Rhode Island Country Club. 

Walker is currently the 12th ranked player in the world and 2nd in FedExCup standings.  He has earned two first-place (Sony Open in Hawaii and Valero Texas Open), one second-place (Hyundai Tournament of Champions) and five top-10 finishes so far this year. 

Six-time PGA TOUR champion Haas will return to Rhode Island Country Club for the seventh time. Most recently Haas won the 2015 Humana Challenge in partnership with The Clinton Foundation. He currently ranks 16th on the FedExCup points list and 22nd in the Official World Golf Ranking. Haas, along with his father Jay, was the 2004 CVS Charity Classic champion.

Returning to the CVS Health Charity Classic for the third time, Mahan is a six-time PGA TOUR winner who currently ranks 33rd in the world and sits in 56th place in the FedExCup standings. Additionally, he has competed on four Presidents Cup and two Ryder Cup teams. Curran, who joins the Charity Classic roster for the first time, most recently placed second at the Puerto Rico Open.  He and Keegan Bradley teamed together at Hopkinton High School (Mass.) to win a team state championship together.
