Grave vandalized in Foxboro

Since losing her little brother, 26-year-old Lorenzo Ditomasso, St. Mary’s Cemetary in Foxboro was the one place Angelina Ditomasso could still be with him.
Lorenzo suddenly passed away the day before Thanksgiving. “He had a weak heart and a pace maker, and blood clot in his leg went into his heart and he passed away,” said Angelina.
But that peaceful place suddenly turned into a nightmare on Memorial Day when the family found his grave in shambles. His name plate was burned to a crisp along with little mementos.
“Devastation, couldn’t believe someone would do something like that. To damage someone’s grave is just disheartening,” continued Angelina.
Other nearby graves weren’t touched. His family can’t imagine Lorenzo, himself, was the target, but they’re now convinced the damage was deliberate.
“He had thousands of people at his funeral, he was very well loved.”
Police are now investigating and fire crews have been at the site, as well. The grass was charred in a perfect rectangle, which leads officials to believe some kind of substance was poured on it and then lit.
Angelina and her family have cleaned up her brother’s grave and are waiting on a new name plate. In the meantime they just hope the person who did this comes forward.
Angelina is baffled, saying, “He fought for a year and a half for his life and if someone had a problem with him why didn’t they fix it prior to… you know?”
The cemetery does not have any surveillance cameras, but the family is hoping someone saw something and will call police.
