Body of man washes up in Portsmouth deemed suicide

Police say the body discovered after it washed ashore in Portsmouth was that of a man who jumped from the Mt. Hope Bridge in February.

Officials say the body was found near Anthony Road in the Common Fence Point neighborhood around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Medical Examiner’s Office has the body and is now working to identify it.
