Police: man wounded in Providence shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Providence police are investigating an overnight shooting in which a man was wounded.
Police say that a man in his 20s was shot in the lower abdomen around 2 a.m. Sunday near Broad and Aldrich Streets. A friend drove him to a hospital and his condition is unknown.
Police then were called to the 1200 block of Broad Street for a second report of shots fired.
Police responded to a third call for shots fired on Bridgham Street around 4:30 a.m. No one was hurt in that incident.
Witnesses told officers four shots were fired from a black Acura that drove away.
