Taunton Man Accused Of Impersonating Police Officer

The Taunton man arrested for impersonating a police officer, is no rookie impersonator.
Police say 57–year–old Seth Amidon approached several people Wednesday, telling them an escaped convict was on the loose and to get inside their homes.
He was seen talking to students at Coyle and Cassidy high school’s satellite building at Holy Rosary Parish and a teen walking her dog near Hopewell park says she was approached by a man in a blue car who told her he was a police officer.
Police spotted his car a few hours later and arrested him.
Amidon has three prior convictions for impersonating a police officer in Massachusetts and has a long criminal history dating back to 1978.
