The Cranston Animal Shelter has received over $3,000 in donations from the customers of Pet Supplies Plus.

Recently, the Cranston Animal Shelter was the recipient of a donation campaign coordinated by Pet Supplies Plus, where donations from customers were collected during the month of April.

The shelter, located at 920 Phenix Avenue, received $3,546 in gift cards to purchase supplies needed.

Cranston Animal Control Officer Patricia Maxwell stated, “The Cranston Animal Shelter is incredibly grateful for the generosity shown by the general public who contributed to the fundraiser. The shelter will now be able to provide supplies and additional equipment that will enhance the lives of the animals and help them to be more adoptable.”

The city-owned shelter houses stray dogs, cats, and homeless pets. It is open to the public, and the adoption hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Anyone interested in adopting an animal is encouraged to contact the shelter directly or stop by during business hours.
