Rhode Island State Police have arrested a Bryant University student for the possession and transfer of child pornography.

21-year-old Yuk Fai Michael Young, of Smithfield, was arrested Wednesday after investigation revealed he was trading videos of child porn on the internet. A court-authorized search warrant was issued and Young was identified as the owner of the media.

Young was arraigned in Third Division District Court and held on $10,000 bail with surety. He is not allowed to have internet access and ordered to have no contact with children. He is scheduled for a pre-arrainment conference on June 24th.

At this time, State Police say there is no indication of inappropriate conduct between Young and minor children.
