Man arrested after allegedly robbing UPS store at gun point in Slatersville

The North Smithfield Police Department arrests a man who allegedly robbed a UPS store at gun point.
Matthew J. Grenier, 45, whose residence is not available, faces charges of first degree Armed Robbery and Larceny after allegedly robbing a UPS store at gun point.
Police say on April 25, at 12:15 pm a man entered the UPS store on Victory Highway, lifted his shirt showing what looked like a handgun in his waistband and demanded money. Officials did not confirm money was taken.
The suspect ran from the store and through the parking lot then got into a blue 2002 GMC Envoy SUV with a Massachusetts license plate of 1MM435.
After a broadcast was made throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts, Officials found Grenier in Worcester and arrested him. He is being held in Massachusetts and will be extradited to Rhode Island where he will face charges.
