CRANSTON – The man wanted for robbing a Cranston hair salon then carjacking a vehicle with a mother and her child inside, proclaimed his innocence to ABC6 News Friday night during his arraignment at the police station.

33-year-old Jerry Cintron, of Pawtucket, was arrested in a Walmart in Lisbon, CT. Tuesday without incident. He was arraigned in Norwich as a fugitive of justice.

Investigators say that on March 29th, Cintron robbed the Shear Dimensions Hair Salon on Reservoir Avenue before carjacking a vehicle with a woman and her baby inside. They were unharmed.

Following a formal arraignment Monday at Kent County Superior Court, bail was set at $50,000 with surety and Cintron was ordered held as a probation violator.
