Congressman Cicilline to visit border of Ukraine and Poland

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Congressman David Cicilline, a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, will be a part of a bipartisan delegation visiting the Ukraine-Poland border.

Congressman Cicilline will be joining Chairman Gregory Meeks, Representatives Michael McCaul (R-TX), Gerald E. Connolly (D-VA), Ann Wagner (R-MO), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Susan Wild (D-PA), and Raul Ruiz (D-CA).

They will meet Secretary Blinken, Ambassador Mark Brzezinski, national and local Polish officials, USAID’s Disaster Assistance Response Team, and Ukrainian activists.

They will be briefed by the U.S. Army, meet U.S. service members, and determine the needs and response at the Polish border as it sees continued influx of refugees from Ukraine.
