North Providence man guilty of robbing CVS at knife point

A Jury finds a North Providence man guilty of first degree robbery.

On April 17, Jason Cardoso, 34, of North Providence was found guilty of first degree robbery.

The State proved on June 26, 2013 at 6:00 pm Cardoso robbed the cashier of a CVS on Mineral Spring Avenue at knife point taking $135.

The North Providence Police Department released surveillance video seeking help identifying the man.

Cardoso was identified through an anonymous tip revealing his tattoos matched the ones on the suspect in the video.

He is being held without bail in Massachusetts for an unrelated case and is on probation for armed robbery.

He faces up to life in prison for violating probation.
