Warwick Police arrest suspect who assaulted Subway employee

The Warwick Police Department arrest a man who allegedly assaulted a Subway employee.
The Warwick Police Department responded to a phone call on April 17, at 9:23 am at a Subway shop on
The victim was working alone when around 7:00 am the male suspect walked into the store and bought a cup of coffee. He stayed inside for about thirty minutes then left.
According to the victim, the suspect went back to the shop around 9:00 am and lured her out from behind the counter by stating the toilet was overflowing. He then assaulted the victim and attempted to sexually assault her.
The female victim fought him off, got away from the shop and called the Police. She suffered minor injuries.
After fleeing by foot, Officials spotted the suspect and detained him.
Police arrested Shawn Turgeon, 47, of Warwick who was positively identified by the victim.
Turgeon is being charged with one count of assault with Intent to Commit Sexual Assault, one count of Second Degrees Sexual Assault and one count of Kidnapping.
Turgeon is being held pending arraignment and has a long criminal record.
