Norwich Police in Connecticut helped track down the man wanted for carjacking a vehicle in Cranston while a mother and her 1-year-old were inside.

33-year-old Jerry Cintron, of Pawtucket, was arrested in a Walmart in Clinton, CT. Tuesday without incident. He was arraigned in Norwich as a fugitive of justice.

Investigators say that on March 29th, Cintron robbed the Shear Dimensions Hair Salon on Reservoir Avenue before carjacking a vehicle with a woman and her baby inside. They were unharmed.

Colonel Michael Winquist tells ABC6 that Cranston Police plan to pick Cintron up from Norwich on Friday for an afternoon arraignment.

Cintron was recently released from the ACI and has a lengthy criminal record.

Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Norwich Police Department, and the New Haven Regional Fugitive Task Force aided in the investigation and arrest.
