A Providence man has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence and causing a deadly crash. Hector Diaz, 20, was arrested following the roll over accident on route 95 North early Saturday morning.

He’s charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs- death resulting, reckless driving death resulting and driving to endanger. Diaz was held on $500,000 bail with surety and sent to the ACI as a Superior Court probation violator.
Diaz will be formally arraigned in Sixth Division District Court on Monday. A person convicted of DUI-death resulting- first offense is subject to imprisonment for not less than five years and for no more than fifteen years, and a fine of no less than five thousand dollars and no more than ten thousands dollars.
