Car collides with pole in serious North Providence crash

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Police continue to investigate a serious crash that happened in North Providence late Monday night.

Crews responded to the crash just after 10:00pm on Woonasquatucket Avenue.

Firemen worked to pry apart the wreckage to free two people that were reported trapped inside.

A witness tells ABC6 that the entrapment lasted about 45 minutes.

Both passengers were transported to the hospital with injuries.
