New Bedford man with history of drug-related charges arrested

NEW BEDFORD, MASS. (WLNE)- A New Bedford man with a history of drug-related charges was arrested after police seized drugs from his home on Monday.
Bruce Long, 52, was taken into custody and charged with drug trafficking.
Detectives found 22 grams of cocaine, 74 grams of fentanyl, and $11,688.00 cash in the home.
Long also has an open case in New Bedford district court from an arrest made in December 2020.
Long faces prior charges including trafficking fentanyl in excess of 10 grams, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and crack cocaine as subsequent offenses, distribution of crack and fentanyl, and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws.
