Eastern small-footed bat found in Rhode Island
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Rhode Island Division of Fish and Wildlife have announced they have found the first Eastern small-footed bat in Rhode Island.
Officials track the animals during their hibernating season by observing their habitats in caves and structures across New England.
This bat was identified by its long golden brown fur and 1 inch forearms.
The most common bat species in Rhode Island are the big brown bats.
