Arrests made in Freetown burglary

Four people were arrested in Freetown for burglary. Magda Pereira, 22, and Ann Madeira, 25, both of Fall River as well as Jimmy Dacruz, 23 and Brett Fortes,26 of New Bedford will go before a judge Monday. They are charged with burglary, conspiracy and larceny.

The group allegedly broke into a home on Weetamoe Drive Saturday. A residential alarm went off and police were called to the scene. They found footprints of the suspects fleeing.

Officers eventually tracked the group down. The 4 suspects were in possession of stolen items and burglary tools.

All four people will be back in court for pretrial on April 22nd and held on bail. 

Pereira was held on $500 cash bail, while Madeira, Dacruz and Fortes were held on $5,000 bail.
