Robbery suspect holds up convenience store in Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI_ Police investigate an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store.

On March 30 at 9:05am The Providence Police Department received a call about an armed robbery that happened at the Dairy Land convenience store on 1002 Chalkstone Avenue.

The female attendant says the suspect walked around the store for a few minutes, left the store and returned minutes later with an assault type fire arm.

The man pointed the gun at the female attendant’s head and yelled, demanding her to open the register.

The suspect took $500 in cash, food and drinks then fled the scene on a dark colored mountain bike.

The armed robber was described to be a thin, six foot tall, light skin male in his early twenties.
