On day 29 of the Aaron Hernandez murder trial jurors saw more grainy surveillance video from the industrial park where Odin Lloyd was killed. Prosecutors are using it in an attempt to establish a time line for the murder. In one of the clips a beam of light seen at 3:27 AM. It is allegedly from the Nissan Altima rented by Aaron Hernandez and his suspected conspirators.

“What is on this disk, sir?” asked the prosecutor. “This disk is the time frame of a car passing by my facility,” replied Paul Belham who works in the industrial park. His business captured the video on security camera.

Prosecutors alleged that on the morning of June 17th Hernandez and two of his buddies drove Lloyd to the secluded industrial park where they shot and killed him. Jurors also saw photos of two tire treads and several shoe prints found near Lloyd’s body. One was of particular interest.

“…the relative location of these components within the footwear impression…were consistent with the Retro 11 Air Jordan size 13,” testified Lt. Steven Bennett of the Massachusetts State Police.

Prosecutors allege the impression was made by Hernandez. The sneakers in question were never found. The defense says the police work in the case was sloppy.

“You’ve taken exactly one 3 day class in footwear impression comparison identification nine years ago in 2006?” James Sultan of the defense team asked Lt. Bennett. “That is accurate,” replied the trooper.

The judge ruled in the defenses favor during a motion hearing Wednesday. Hernandez’s legal team will be allowed to bring in their own ballistics expert to look over projectiles from the crime scene.
