Arrest made for bomb threat at courthouse of Aaron Hernandez trial

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) _ A Westwood man has been arrested in connection to a bomb threat called in to the courthouse where the murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez.

Fall River Police say 56-year-old Paul B. Haddad was arrested at his home Thursday. 

Haddad was arraigned and held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on April 2nd.

“I am pleased that the Fall River Police Department was able to so quickly locate a suspect and place him under arrest. At this point, the investigation has revealed that the bomb threat had nothing to do with the Arron Hernandez trial,” said Fall River Police Chief Daniel Racine.  

Testimony in the Hernandez case began Jan. 29. Hernandez is accused in the June 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancee.
