Two dozen Providence Police officers were called to Ultra Nightclub on Pine Street early Sunday morning to break up a fight on the premises.

Now, Major Thomas Verdi tells ABC6 that he is meeting with the owner of Ultra Thursday and plans so schedule a hearing with the Board of Licenses.

That same morning, a driver for a party bus carrying 35 people from Worcester, MA, alerted police after finding two loaded handguns and four knives left on the seats while the party was inside Ultra. One of the guns was concealed and wrapped in a shirt, the driver said.

Police say no injuries were reported and the cause of the fight is undetermined.

Major Verdi says he wants to prevent further violence from happening again at the nightclub.
