Man arrested after sex trafficking bust in Warwick

Rhode Island State Police have arrested a man after a sex trafficking bust at the Motel 6 on Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick.

Troopers arrested 21-year-old Adolfo Hernandez of Mattapan, MA, after a 17-year-old runaway was found in his hotel room.

Police started investigating after the advertisement site, “Backpage”, showed pictures of the teen girl along with the description that she would “show you a good time.”

The investigation led police to the Motel 6 where the girl was found, where they later located Hernandez.

Hernandez is charged with sex trafficking of a minor as well as drug charges. He is being held at the ACI.
