A Fall River firefighter has lost his battle with cancer.
32-year-old Adam Franco, a father, husband, and lifelong Fall River resident, died Monday after several battles with brain cancer.
Adam graduated from Bishop Connolly High School in 2001 and New England Technical Institute with a degree in Automotives. He also owned and operated GQ Construction.
Adam was assigned to Engine 2, and was a member of the Fire Dive Rescue Team, the Bristol County Technical Rescue Team and Fall River Fire Local 1314. He was passionate about the MDA ‘Fill the Boot’ Drive and continued to fight fires even while he battled cancer.
IAFF Local 1314 President Jason Burns called Adam “a wonderful person whose life was cut far too short”.
Adam’s obituary says he loved summer, cooking out, spending time with his family and friends, ball games, darts, and working on cars.
His memorial service will be on Friday.
