Two arrested for Brockton murder, one suspect from Warwick

BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE)- Brendan Fernandes, 33, of Brockton, and Destiny A. Fontes Silie, 25, of Warwick, were both arrested in connection to a shooting in Brockton.
The shooting occurred on Tuesday night, police getting multiple calls at 4:44 p.m. for shots fired on East Street.
One victim, 24-year-old Brima Koroma, was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. He sadly died as a result of his injuries.
Brockton police along with Massachusetts State Police were able to identify Fernandes and Silie as suspects since they were the last seen driving away from the scene in a blue sedan.
The two were pulled over in Chesterfield, Virginia earlier Wednesday and placed under arrest.
They will both be returned to Brockton after being processed in Virginia.
Fernandes will be arraigned on a murder charge, Silie will be charged with accessory after the fact of murder.
