Keolis to reinstate service of 15 MBTA commuter rail trains March 9th

Keolis Commuter Service has announced today that 15 Commuter Rail trains will resume operating on March 9th. The system recovery plan is to restore full service by March 30th.

Officials say the Fitchburg Line would return to full weekday service during the morning rush hour and weekend schedules would remain at full service.

Keolis says in that on-time performance continues to improve with 92% of trains operating within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival during today’s morning rush hour, and nearly two-thirds of trains arriving within 5 minutes of schedule.

The 15 lines that will be resuming operation are: Fairmount, Fitchburg, Framingham/Worcester, Franklin, Haverhill, Kingston/Plymouth, Lowell, Middleborough/Lakeville, Needham, Newburyport/Rockport, Providence/Stoughton, and Greenbush.
