PC Friars Crack AP Top 25

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College men’s basketball team is ranked No. 25 in the most recent Associated Press Poll, which was released today (Feb. 23). It marks the second time this season that the Friars have been ranked and the first time in the Associated Press Poll.  On Nov. 24, Providence was ranked No. 25 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Providence also received 28 votes in the most recent USA Today Coaches Top-25 poll and was two spots outside of the Top-25 rankings.

The Friars have posted a 19-8 mark overall and a 9-5 record in BIG EAST play. Providence, which is tied for third place in the BIG EAST, will return to action on Tuesday, February 24 at No. 6 Villanova at 7 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.
