Fall River Police search for bank robbery suspect

Fall River Police are searching for the suspect in an armed bank robbery that took place Thursday morning.

It happened around 9:45 when the suspect entered the Bay Coast Bank on Pleasant Street, brandished a knife, and demanded cash from the teller.

A 78-year-old woman was pushed out of the way by the suspect as he approached the window but she was not injured. He fled on foot towards Alden Street, leaving with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5’8” to 6′ feet tall, with a medium build.
