The Aaron Hernandez trial resumed Wednesday after several days off because of the snow.

A juror was released from duty at the start of the day. The judge saying she was dismissed for personal reasons.

The pool of jurors now down to just 16. This is the second time in two weeks a juror has been dismissed.

“It is in the best interest of justice that the juror be discharged,” said Judge Susan Garsh.

Hernandez’s fiancé Shayanna Jenkins assumed her usual position in the courtroom, sitting behind the former NFL star.

The couple was seen smiling at each other. Hernandez even complimenting her on a new hair style, caught winking and seen whispering ‘I love you.’

The interaction comes on the heels of Jenkins receiving immunity from prosecution in the case.

The 25-year-old has been charged with perjury for allegedly lying to a grand jury about potential evidence.

She had no comment outside of the courthouse when asked if she’ll testify against Hernandez.

On the witness stand Wednesday were police officers and a firefighter who responded to the industrial park where Odin Lloyds body was found.

Testimony is set to resume on Friday.
