Former workers protest outside Gourmet Heaven

Around 25 people walked into the Gourmet Heaven restaurant Wednesday on Weybosset Street to protest under paid and over worked employees.

Restaurant owner Chung Cho is under investigation in Connecticut for similar claims at a location there.

Police asked the protestors to remain on the street but when they didn’t, they had to break it up.

Former workers have filed a formal complaint with the Department of Labor and Training over wage issues.

They’ve also filed a claim in district court seeking $140,000 in unpaid wages.
