West Greenwich native dies in ATV accident

STERLING C.T. (WLNE) – Connecticut State Police have confirmed the death of West Greenwich native, Corey Carpenter.

Police say Carpenter was traveling on Gibson Lane when he lost control of the ATV he was riding.

According to officials Carpenter died on scene. Police have not commented on a cause for the crash but say an investigation is underway.

Family of Carpenter tells ABC6 News the crash occurred just hours after celebrating his one-year-old son’s birthday.

Carpenters family has set up a GoFundMe to assist with “immediate expenses.”
