The commuter rail will resume service to all stations in Rhode Island, after service was suspended for nearly two days because of the weather.
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority says service will be restored Wednesday evening to T.F. Green Airport and Wickford Junction. Trains had already started running to Providence.
Four trains will run Wednesday, starting at 5:23 p.m. out of Providence. The last train is scheduled to leave Providence at 9:23 p.m. for the airport.
A normal schedule is expected to resume Thursday.
The MBTA shut down starting Monday night after a storm dumped as much as 2 feet of snow on parts of Massachusetts. The system was crippled, and crews struggled to clear tracks of snow and ice. Service resumed on Wednesday morning, but not everywhere.
