Over 200 Wickford residents without water after main break

By News Staff
Crews have been working around the clock to fix a cracked water main in Wickford which has left over 200 residents without water since Sunday.
North Kingstown Town Manager, Michael Embury, reported that the incident happened Sunday evening and repair crews have been on scene since 8 p.m.
They do not know the cause of the break just yet, and Embury says crews had a difficult time hammering through the layers of snow and ice.
Embury says the pipe, which was only installed five years ago, should be fixed and water should be restored by Monday night. He says their main objective is to get water running for Wickford residents.
