More than 60 Rhode Island middle and high school teachers from across the state got some special training this past Friday at URI.

It’s all part of a national initiative called code.org.

Teachers learned how to deliver a high-quality and challenging computer science curriculum to their students.

The training is also part of a state-wide effort called “CS for RI” put in place by Governor Raimondo.

It requests that every school in the state offer computer science education for their students. ???????
