Testimony continues in the Aaron Hernandez murder trial today with the mother of Odin Lloyd set to take the stand.
UUrsulaWard, who left the courtroom in tears yesterday, is on the list of witnesses expected to be called in the second day of testimony.
During opening statements prosecutors and defense attorneys painted two different pictures of the former New England Patriots tight end.
Prosecutors saying Hernandez was angry with Lloyd, so he killed him with the help of his two friends and then covered it up. Defense attorneys say Hernandez is an innocent man who was targeted because he is a professional athlete who knew the victim.
One of the first witnesses called by the state was Matthew Kent, the high school student who discovered Lloyd’s body.
The trial is expected to continue over the next several weeks.
