The high cost of attending the Super Bowl is not scaring away Patriots fans. Like his father before him Damian Eannarino of Cranston is a diehard Pats fan and season ticket holder, but he’s never made it to a Super Bowl.

“I missed the 96 Super Bowl. I was over in Kuwait,” he said. Twice he was serving overseas, once his dad took his grandfather instead of him, but now: “I am not missing this one. I am going to the Super Bowl one way or another,” he said.

Damian booked his flight and hotel, but is missing tickets.

“The game plan is to get tickets. Whether it is before after. Some way they need to be in our hands before game time.

Many are still looking to get there.  Just doing a quick search of orbitz.com for airfare to the Super Bowl, this is not including hotel, from Providence to Phoenix, leaving on Friday night and coming back the Monday after the Super Bow, the cheapest price you can get is $1,550 dollars.

“All the pieces are there. They are just a little pricey.

Carl Richardson of AAA Northeast says many people traveling to Glendale are trying to do so with packages… that include airfare accommodations and tickets.

“You get a lot of excited fans. Everyone is excited there is availability and, yea, we can go,” Richardson sayd.

If you have tickets and a flight but still need a place to stay some suggest home rental sites like AirBnB or VRBO.

Or how about this: for $15,000 you could stay at the Arizona home of super bowl MVP Kurt Warner which is available for rent.
