ASPCA warns about pet safety through blizzard

By News Staff
The ASPCA has issued a pet safety alert ahead of the blizzard.
They urge that pets stay indoors through the duration of the storm and visits outside for bathroom breaks must be limited.
Depending on the pet’s breed, size, and fur, they may need a coat, and booties for sensitive paws. Always make sure your pets are on a leash with a collar and ID tag.
Make sure your pets are cleaned off and dry right away, especially their paws. ASPCA urges to keep dangerous chemicals, such as ice melting agents and anti-freeze, away from your pet.
Please call local law enforcement or animal control if you see a pet in distress.
