Roger Williams Park Zoo buries time capsule for 150th year celebration

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The third oldest zoo in the United States celebrated its 150th birthday on Friday.

The Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence celebrated by burying a time capsule beneath The Sentinel Dog.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, Rep. David Cicilline, and Mayor Jorge Elorz joined the event.
