Former President Bill Clinton to speak at Brown lecture series

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Former President Bill Clinton will visit Brown University to participate in an annual lecture series.
The annual Casey Shearer Memorial Lecture is in memory of Brown student Casey Shearer, who died in May 2000 — days before he was set to graduate.
Clinton will join Casey Shearer’s father Derek Shearer, and the U.S. ambassador to Finland during the Clinton administration.
Clinton also attended and spoke at the memorial service held at Brown in 2000 celebrating Shearer’s life.
The April 26 event will begin at 5 p.m., both in-person on Brown’s campus and through a livestream on the university’s website.
