The assistant volleyball coach who was fired after being accused of sexual harassment targeted the entire junior varsity team, according to documents obtained by ABC 6 News.

The detailed 216 page report said that during his four years at the high school, Donavan Baker sent text messages and Snapchats at all hours of the day and forcibly tried to kiss girls while they were in high school.

The report continued to say that Baker told the girls he coached that he wanted to have a romantic relationship with the them and would wait for them.

In a letter to parents on April 8, “serious concerns about the assistant coach’s interactions with the players were brought to the superintendent.”

Those concerns, according to the letter, were brought to Superintendent Alexis Meyer in November 2021 after the season ended.

Meyer filed all findings with the Rhode Island Department of Education, Rhode Island Interscholastic League, Volleyball USA, and Department of Children, Youth and Families.

In a statement to ABC 6 Tuesday, DCYF said it’s “aware of the allegations and, pursuant to state law, conducted an investigation. The results of the investigation have been shared with East Greenwich schools and law enforcement.”

DCFY didn’t share any further information because of “confidentiality laws.”

The head coach of the volleyball team, Justin Amaral, was also fired.
