BOSTON (WLNE) — Fans going to Red Sox games, as well as other events at Fenway Park this year, will not be able to pay cash at any of the ballpark’s concession stands.

The ballpark said Wednesday that the change was made in order to improve the speed of service.

Fans will be able to use credit cards or touchless payment with smart phones.

Anyone with cash can load their cash onto a Mastercard debit card using one of the many Cash-2-Card kiosks around the park.
