WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) _ Woonsocket police have charged three men in connection with an armed robbery in the city earlier last week.
Officers on patrol on Saturday saw a vehicle possibly tied to a robbery that occurred last Wednesday.
Officers activated their blue lights, but the vehicle took off and did not stop until it had reached Uxbridge, Massachusetts.
Police interviewed the driver and passenger, and based on that information charged three people. Twenty-two-year-old Matthew Squadrito; 20-year-old Joshua Correia; and 37-year-old Christopher Bellanti 37 are charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
The case remains under investigation.
