Cumberland Fire Chief placed on leave

CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WLNE) – Cumberland Fire Chief Kenneth Finlay has been placed on administrative leave, the District confirmed Wednesday.

In a statement, Cumberland Fire District Chairwoman Cynthia Ouellette said the decision was made “by agreement”.

 Fire District officials did not elaborate on the reason Finlay was placed on leave, saying only that the decision is an internal personnel matter, and no further information is available at this time.
