University of Rhode Island to host virtual discussion with Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott

KINGSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The University of Rhode Island announced that they will be hosing a virtual discussion with former director of the Rhode Island Department of Health Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott.

Alexander-Scott directed the Department of Health from April 2015 to January 2022.

The conversation will discuss her experience leading the state through the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The university’s College of Pharmacy Professor Kerry LaPlante will also be joining the discussion.

“Who’s at the Table: A Conversation with Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott” is scheduled for April 27 at 4 p.m.
