Newport police will not do VIN checks on Wednesday

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Newport Police Department said Monday that there will be no VIN checks on Wednesday.

The department made the announcement on its Facebook page at about 10 a.m.

Anyone who needs a VIN check will be able to get that done any other day this week.
