Two hospitalized following crash in Lakeville

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WLNE)- Two men had to be taken to the hospital after an early morning crash in Lakeville, according the town’s fire department.

Firefighters responded to the intersection of Bedford Street and Kenneth Welch Drive for reports of a multi-vehicle crash.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found occupants of both vehicles trapped and injured. Rescue crews were able to both victims out of the wreckage.

One man needed advance life support care at the scene, and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for further treatment.

The second victim was trapped inside of his vehicle, which was pinned between the other vehicle and the guardrail. Once towing crews were able to move the first vehicle, firefighters were able to help the victim out of his vehicle.

He was transported to Morton Hospital for further treatment.
