PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Gov.-elect Gina Raimondo has filled out the rest of her transition team, which includes the Republican leader in the Rhode Island Senate and a few union leaders.

The Democrat announced 13 members of the committee Thursday.

They include Senate Minority Leader Dennis Algiere, a senior executive at Washington Trust Company; Deborah Brayton, ex-chief of staff to then-Providence Mayor David Cicilline and former legislative director to now-Gov. Lincoln Chafee when he was in the U.S. Senate; Patrick Quinn, executive vice president of 1199 New England SEIU; and former Bank Rhode Island CEO and co-founder Merrill Sherman.

Raimondo named the co-chairs last week. They are state Rep. Joe Shekarchi, public relations executive Jon Duffy and Carol Grant, a former top aide to Cicilline.

The new governor will take office on Jan. 6.
